Charles Thomas "Tommy" Steuart of Benton, formerly of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2013. He was born on January 13, 1946 in Hot Springs to Luther and Christine Steuart. Charles graduated from Hot Springs High School with the Class of 1963. He was the owner of CTS Rocks and Minerals in Hot Springs. After serving with the Air Force in Vietnam, he graduated from Arkansas Tech where he earned a degree in Geology. He was employed as a geologist until his retirement in 2011. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and mother of his children, Anne Arnold Steuart, and son, Steven Steuart. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ashley Steuart; daughter Beth Brennan and husband, Mike, of Hot Springs; foster son, Sam Patterson, of Benton; step daughters, Gretchen Ritchey and husband, Michael, of Benton and Ashley Pulley, and husband, Brian, of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Steven Thomas Steuart and wife, Mandy, of Hot Springs, Collin Gomez of Great Lakes, Ill., Shelby Gomez, of Hot Springs, Steven Brennan and Molly Brennan, both of Hot Springs; great-granddaughter, Izzy Steuart, of Hot Springs; aunt, Mamie Ruth Abernathy, of Hot Springs; sister, Charlotte Bell, of Conway, and his faithful canine companion Lucy, plus countless friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Gross Funeral Home Chapel in Hot Springs with interment in Memorial Gardens in Hot Springs. Guest register at www.grossfuneralhome.com.
