ROBERT LAURENCE RODDEY of Little Rock, Ark. passed away on April 25, 2013. Mr. Roddey was born in Warren, Ark. on June 5, 292 to the late W.D. and Edith Patricia Roddey. He received his undergraduate degree from Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas in 1977. Bob, as he was known to his many friends and family, was an accomplished attorney, wonderful father and grandfather. He was an active historian and member of the Theodore Roosevelt Society. He enjoyed helping others and sharing his vast knowledge of historical events and happenings. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.D. Roddey Jr. and Edith Patricia Roddey. He is survived by his brother, David Roddey and his wife Diane of Nashville, Tenn.; his son, L. Garrison Roddey and his wife Jenalee Roddey of Rogers, Ark. Two grandchildren, Barrett and Tatum Roddey (The Precious Ones); a niece, Tricia Roddey Mc Nally and a nephew, David Kevin Roddey, both of Nashville, Tenn. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 29 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Little Rock. Visitation to follow service at church. Burial will take place in Warren, Ark. at Oakland Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are asked to be made to The Wolfe Street Foundation, P.O. Box 3708, Little Rock, Ark. 72203.
