Ardis Lamar Carroll

Ardis Lamar Carroll, 67, of Louann, Ark. passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock, Ark. He was born January 30, 1946 in Independence, La. to Edward and Inez Bigner Carroll. He did volunteer work for several local organizations. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Carroll; mother, Inez Bigner Davis; and brothers, Charles Carroll and Wallace Carroll. He is survived by his wife, Lois Lewis Carroll of Louann, Ark.; daughter, Linda Hodges and husband, Jason of Louann, Ark.; son, James Carroll of Louann, Ark.; brothers, Pierce Carroll and wife, Sharon of El Dorado, Ark. and David Carroll of Amite, La.; sisters, Nell Strate and husband, Charles of Benton, La., Velda Carroll of Manitou Springs, Colo. and Tommie Sue White and husband, Jerry of Centerville, Miss.; granddaughters, Angela Johnson and husband, Patrick of Smackover, Ark. and Mary Hodges Taylor and husband, Kyle of Norphlet, Ark.; grandsons, Tyler Hodges and wife, Connie of Camden, Ark. and Shawn Hodges of Louann, Ark.; and six great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Cornerstone Church at Smackover. Brother David Smith will officiate the service.
