Connie M. Brannon Butler died peacefully in her sleep at home early Thursday morning, August 1, 2013. Always an honor roll student, Connie graduated from Mary Hardin Baylor in 1951 and received her Masters of Science degree from the University of Central Arkansas in 1971. For much of her career she was a Counselor for the State of Arkansas first spinal chord rehabilitation then drug rehabilitation. Whether designing the blueprints for her home and serving as her own contractor. Stretching a dollar to decorate and run her household, or winning high trump at the bridge table, Connie succeeded at everything she set her mind to do. Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 8 at 2 p.m in the chapel at The Waterford, 6799 Granbury Road, Fort Worth. She is survived by two daughters: Beverly Butler of Connecticut and Barbara Dickerson of Vermont; two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many friends.
