Ruth W. Nodini

Ruth White Nodini of El Dorado, passed away August 2, 2013 at the Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie, Texas, while pursuing some of her most loved activities, traveling and visiting family. She was born in Kendrick, Colorado to Frederick Jefferson White and Denver Cottingham White. Ruth grew up in Nevada County in Southwest Arkansas and graduated from Henderson State University. She earned a masters degree in Economics and Education and has been awarded numerous accolades including Outstanding Business teacher in Arkansas. After a teaching career of over 50 years at both the college and high school levels, she retired from El Dorado High School where she touched and positively influenced literally thousands of lives. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Emerio Nodini, her parents, sister, Ann Huskey and brother, Frederick White. Ruth is survived and will be missed by her daughter and son-in-law Dorothy and Donnie Creighton; her son, R.A. "Buddy" Nodini and fiancé P.J. Hanke; her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Danny Hobbs and her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Madison Murphy. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Christy Hyles, Larry Creighton, Wendy Thompson, Robin Jeu, Beth Hobbs, Chris Hobbs, Matt Murphy, Jonathan Murphy and Anna Murphy and seven great-grandchildren: Creighton, Chase and Caleb Hyles; Warren and Alex Creighton; Josh Thompson and Abby, Jilliyn and Austin Jeu. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 6, from 5-7 p.m. at Young's Funeral Directors. Her funeral service will be Wednesday, August 7 at 3 p.m. in Young's Chapel with Rev. Ray Higgins officiating followed by a private family interment service.
