Dorothy Dawson Lingo

Dorothy Dawson Lingo died July 22, 2013 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Dorothy was born January 31, 1924 in Cato, Pulaski County, Arkansas. She was known in Lafayette as "Miss Dottie," where she was an avid bridge player and follower of thoroughbred horse racing. At one time she was part owner of the well known race horse John Henry. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Mabel and John Dawson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Homer, and her two sisters Kathleen Dawson Cartwright and Marie Dawson Williford. She is survived by a daughter Kathy, son John, granddaughter Jamie, a great-grandchild, and a brother, Bob Dawson, Sherwood, Ark. Dorothy graduated from North Little Rock High School.
