Michael Dean Ward

Michael Dean Ward, age 63, of Hot Springs died Tuesday, August 6, 2013. He was born September 26, 1949 in Arkadelphia the son of Billy Dean and Janet Burch Ward. He was a graduate of Arkadelphia High School and received a Masters Degree from Henderson State University where he was past president of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. In 1974 he was appointed Director of Management Training at the Center for Developmental Learning Disorders at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He retired form Loomis Fargo Company after 30 years of service. He was president of the Southeast region for the company.
Mike was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Dean Ward. Survivors include his mother, Janet Ward of Arkadelphia and his best friend, John McGoon of Hot Springs.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Pastor Stan Parris officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Sign on-line guest book at www.ruggleswilcox.com.
