Richard L. Porter

On August 10, 2013, God took Richard L. Porter to his home in Heaven. He was a very loving husband, father and Godfather. He was born on August 27, 1951 to Eunice and Charles Porter of Rockford, Illinois. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; son, Shawn and his fiancé, Trina; and Matt, his Godson; very special friends, Melissa and Earl Hymun. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Claeyssen; brothers, Clarence (Julie), Harold (Bonita), Charles (Barbara), Clyde (Debbie) and Steve (Kathy). He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mike, Jimmy, Jeff and Raymond; and sister, Barbara. Visitation will be at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot on Wednesday, August 14 at 10 a.m. Funeral to follow at 11 a.m. with Brother Terry Fortner officiating.
