Sgt. Roger Bullard, Sr.
Sgt. Roger Dale Bullard Sr., age 64, of Benton, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013. He was born January 21, 1949 in Benton, Arkansas. Roger was a Vietnam War Army Veteran and retired from the Saline County Sheriffs Office as a Sergeant. He was a member of the F.O.P. and the V.F.W. Roger was the co-founder of the Saline County Deputy Sheriffs Association and helped build the Saline County Sheriffs Training Facility.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.T. Bullard; mother, Thelma Lee Ables and a brother, Lonnie E. Ables Jr. He is survived by his sister, Pat Eggers of Bigelow; two brothers, Robert Bullard of Alabama and Louis Bullard of Benton; two sons, Roger Bullard Jr. and Paul Bullard; two daughters, Renee Davis and Ronda "Cissie" Ezzeldin all of Benton; extended family, Tim and Renee Dudderar of Bryant, Michelle Hardin Burks of Bauxite, Billy Sharp of Traskwood and Jeff Ramsey of Haskell; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 19 at the Saline County Sheriffs Department at 735 S. Neeley St. in Benton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saline County Humane Society. On-line guest book at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com.
