Gladys Lambert

Gladys Lambert, 103, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013. She was born March 31, 1910 in Lambert, Arkansas to Andrew and Dora Shuffield. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, E.L. Lambert, and by her six siblings. She was very active in the 4-H Club, Home Demonstration Club, PTA, and her church groups. An avid gardener, she was a member of the Rose Society and Iris Society. She is survived by a daughter, June (Carroll) Tucker; a son, Don (Peggy) Lambert, both of Little Rock; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and by 17 great-great-grandchildren. The many grandchildren, young and older, thank Gran and Dad for special memories of good times past and the Christian examples they set through the years. The family would like to thank the nursing and other staff at Chenal Rehabilitation Center for the loving care shown to their mother during her years there. Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 20, at 3 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a church mission fund of your choice.
