Herman Dale Scates

Herman Dale Scates, 78, of Sherwood, formerly of Cabot, died Thursday, August 15, 2013. Born June 27, 1935, he was a native of North Little Rock. Dale was the son of the late Herman H. and Beatrice Fulmer Scates. He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Replogle Scates, and a brother, Jimmy Harold Scates. He is survived by his son, U.S. Navy Senior Chief H. Dale Scates, Jr. (Monica) of Jacksonville, Fla.; his sister, Sharon Ferguson of North Little Rock; his life companion Etta J. Phillips of North Little Rock; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 23 at Arkansas Funeral Home, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Ark., with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
