Ian Granger Smith, 34, of Hot Springs, Ark. passed away Friday, August 23rd, 2013 in Hot Springs. He was born in Dumas, Ark. Ian was kind-hearted, fun loving, and one the proudest fathers around. He enjoyed his time with friends and family four-wheeling, snowboarding, and practicing body art. He never met a stranger. After attending Hall High School in Little Rock, he earned a degree from National Park Community College. He was a member of Local 69 Boilermaker Union of Little Rock. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosalind Granger Smith; grandfather, Thomas Price Smith; Aunt, Amy Carol Smith; and two uncles, Thomas Ronald Smith, and Thomas Price Smith Jr. Cherishing his memory are the love of his life, his daughter Chloe Lake Smith, and his little man, Lawson Granger Smith; his mother and step-father, Debra and Rick Hanlon of Hot Springs; father, Zif Smith of Little Rock; sister, Megan Lake Smith of Maumelle; grandparents, Shirley and Robert Harris of Ft. Smith, Francis and Sheryl Stipsky of Sherwood; aunts, Gloria Smith Wright of Alexander, and Lisa Stipsky Carter of Benton. Ian is survived by countless cousins, friends, and other relatives. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27th, 2013 in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home, 120 Wrights St. Hot Springs, Ark. (501) 624-1244.
