Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, NANCY MULLENAX, 79, of North Little Rock went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Aug. 24th 2013. Nancy was born in Omaha, Neb. on Feb. 24th 1934. Her parents, Robert & Forrest Mabrey, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Mullenax, sons Bob Mullenax and Dave Mullenax (Julie). Grandchildren include Joy Foreman (Bobby), Traci Earnhart (Josh), Joshua Mullenax, Lance Mullenax (Shannon); great-grandchildren include Katelyn, Matthew, Rose, Isabella, Bailey, Jaxson, Wes, Emma, Xander, and a precious sister Leanne Payne of Wheaton, Ill. Nancy met the love of her life at the age of 13 and married him at 17. They were married for 61 years. In her life, while Dad was out front most of the time, it was Mom who was the unsung hero. She backed Dad in every adventure and always encouraged the kids, the grands and the great-grands in everything we attempted. Dad was truly gifted when it came to leading others to Christ; however Mom was such a strong advocate and believer in the power of the Holy Spirit and how it could transform a life. Dad always called her his "Proverbs 31 woman" – Full of grace, laughter and spunk, she had many talents. She was an excellent seamstress, she had a great business sense and truly saw things in black and white. She loved deeply her family and her friendships were lifelong. She truly had a gift of "Godly Wisdom". Her heartbeat was studying the Word of God. Although her passion in teaching others from a pulpit had stopped, she never stopped investing in our family. She yearned to meet Jesus … and now she is in His Presence – What a moment that must be! What a legacy of faith that Mom and Dad has given to friends and family. "To God be the Glory"! That was their motto engraved in their home…that was their motto in life. We would like to thank all of those that reached out to the family at this time. Your love and prayers have certainly been felt. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to First Assembly of God, 4501 Barrow Street, North Little Rock, Ark., 72116, designating it "Mullenax Fire Bibles" – Their whole life they spent spreading the gospel. Bibles will continue the message of the Love of God and His power to change lives. Funeral will be at Roller Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. (501-791-7400), Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Tony Minick officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. Online guestbook: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/owens
