Betty W. Reynolds

Betty Whatley Reynolds, 82, of North Little Rock entered into rest August 25, 2013. She was born August 1, 1931 to Love DuBose Whatley and Thomas Whatley in Lewisville, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Joe Neil Reynolds. Betty is survived by three sons and their wives, Jeff and Randi Reynolds of North Little Rock, Richard and Pam Reynolds of Shreveport, La. and John and Margaret Reynolds of McKinney, Texas; her brother Tommy and Irene Whatley; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren-with one on the way; and a host of other family and friends. Betty was a graduate of Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas where she was an Apache Belle. She was known throughout the community as a faithful member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, serving in many capacities, and as one of the members and authors of "The Flaming Spoons" dinner club cookbook. She was a volunteer worker for the Heifer Project and prior to her illness she had planned to attend a mission project in Honduras. Betty loved family Reunions, dinner parties with friends, bridge and travel. She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, volunteered at the Clinton Library, and will be missed by her family and all her many friends. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 29, at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 1922 Topf Rd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 with Reverend Richard Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116, (501-791-7400).
