Jesse Andrew Vickery, our beloved son, brother, grandson and friend passed away August 25, 2013 from complications of a stroke. Jesse was born February 2, 1982 in Little Rock. He grew up in a close knit, extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. All this cast was part of the village expanding Texas and Arkansas that helped raise and love Jesse. Word of his passing has found its way to social media. Stories from childhood friends about lawnmower races, firework battles and fun-loving childhood adventures have surfaced. His infectious smile and warm personality will be dearly missed. Jesse is preceded in death by grandfathers, Olen Hughes and Johnie Vickery. He is survived by parents, Bonnie and Wayne Vickery, a sister, Alyson Perkins (Stuart), grandmothers, Lois Hughes and Ruby Vickery, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, his special friend Amanda Ferguson and her very special sons George Ferguson and Jason Jarvis. A visitation will be held at Griffin Leggett-Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Highway 5 North Alexander, Arkansas from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 29th. A celebration of Jesse's life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 30th Griffin Leggett Forest Hills officiated by Shelby Smith. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jesse's name to the Quality Living Center, 3925 Asher Ave., Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
