James Malcolm Scott Jr., 77 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, November 12, 2013. Born on April 21, 1936, in Washington D.C. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Donna Jean Scott and daughter Kathleen Scott. He is survived by two daughters, Debra Milburn & husband Mike of Fayetteville, Ark.; and Carol Schroeder & husband Don of Houston, Texas; his son, Brian Scott & wife Laura of Lynchburg, Va.; grandchildren, Loy Glenn of Springdale, Ark., Starr Leyva & husband Chris of Centerton, Kristy Scott of Salem, Va.; step-grandchildren Christy Milburn of Fayetteville, Ark.; Kelly Hardin & husband Matt of Fayetteville, Ark.; Michael Milburn & wife Ashlea of Fayetteville, Ark.; great-grandson, Tannon Leyva of Centerton, Ark.; siblings, John Day Scott of Jacksonville, Fla.; Jerry M. Scott of Charlotte, N.C.; Rosemarie White & husband Buddy of Warrenton, Va.; Jim Hunter of Port Royal, Pa.; Carrolle Tharpe of Fairfax, Va.; sister-in-law Frances Newberry of Denver, Colo.; & brother-in-law, Richard Straley & wife Sara of Denver, Colo. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends playing bridge and chess. Jim was a Veteran. Burial will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, 2 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2013. A gathering for family and friends will be at 634 Rocky Xing, Fayetteville, Ark., the home of his daughter Debra Milburn.
