Sally Archer Afflick

Sally Archer Afflick, 53 of Memphis, Tenn. and formerly of Blytheville, AR passed from this life Thursday, December 5, 2013 at her home. Born in Blytheville, Ark. to Charles W. (Jr.) and Carter Boatwright Afflick, she was a volunteer 2nd grade teacher and attended Hope Presbyterian Church in Memphis. Sally attended the University of Arkansas and Memphis College of Arts. She was very interested in art and she loved children and animals. Sally is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Afflick Jr. of Blytheville; brother, Charles W. Afflick III and wife, Lynn of Jacksonville, Fla. and sister, Carter Afflick Whisenhunt and husband, Brock of Little Rock, Ark.; three nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with Rev. Scott Trotter officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the Afflick home on Wednesday evening from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Tennessee suicide Prevention Network, 295 Plus Park Blvd, Suite 201, Nashville, Tenn. 37217 or the charity of your choice.
