HD Rollins Jr., age 93, passed away December 10, 2013. He was born in Lonoke August 21, 1920. He served in the armed forces from 1942 to 1946. He toured overseas and received his Victory Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon and Good Conduct Ribbon. He was a farmer and was self-employed for years. He was a member of Caney Creek Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents Huet Sr. and Donnis Rollins of England, Arkansas, wife Donnie Mae Rollins and son John Larry Rollins, both of Lonoke and nine siblings. Survivors include a brother, Byron Rollins of Kansas City, daughter-in-law, Nancy Rollins (Darrah) White, grandson, John Bradley Rollins, granddaughter, Michelle Rollins (Brook) Knox, and two great-grandchildren, Brayden Knox and Logan Knox all of Lonoke. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 12 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Lonoke Cemetery.
