Gary Dean Gilbert

Gary Dean Gilbert, age 73, of Crossett, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Ashley County Medical Center. He was born on January 15, 1940 in Fordyce, Ark. to his parents, Fines and Lonie Barnes Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert was an avid outdoorsman and a Baptist. He was retired from Georgia Pacific as a shipping supervisor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, C.C. Mae Gilbert and a brother, Billy Joe Green. Survivors include three sons: Burt Gilbert and John Gilbert, both of Crossett, Ark., Steven Gilbert of Hamburg, Ark.,; one daughter, Lara Kilcrease of Crossett, Ark.,; one brother, Jimmie Gilbert of Crossett, Ark.,; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. www.jonesservice.com.
