Lavoy Martin Welch

Lavoy Martin Welch, age 86, of Havana passed away December 23, 2013 at Salem Place Nursing & Rehab in Conway. She was born June 23, 1927 in Danville, Ark. to the late John Wiley & Dailia Mae Haney Shinn Martin. She was a retired teacher from Western Yell County School. She was preceded in death by her husband Ewell F. Welch and brother, Virgil Shinn. Survivors include daughter & son-in-law, Jean & Larry Hall of Conway; son & daughter-in-law, Ewell R. & Deanna Welch of No. Little Rock; grandchildren, Brian & Denise Hall of Jacksonville, Florida.; Sarah & Alan Hahn of Conway; Wesley & Mary Ashley Welch of Little Rock; Natalie & John Huggins of North Little Rock; brothers, Leo Martin of California; Melvin & Joellen Martin of Washington State; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 at Havana Cemetery with John McCourt officiating.
