Lois O. "Jean" Turner, of Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Jean was born on May 18, 1926 in Mt. Carmel, Ark. to the late Homer H. and Nannie (Crisp) Barnett. Jean was a member of South Highland Baptist Church where she served on the Hospitality Committee and Group Leader for her Sunday School Class. Jean was a key part in getting food baskets to church members every Christmas. She was an active and loved church member. She is survived by three sons; Ronald G. Turner, and his wife Sharon, of Dierks, Ark., Randy Turner, and his wife Cindy, of Little Rock, Ark., Gary W. Turner, and his wife Sarah, of Trinity, N.C., five grandchildren; Susan Colyer, Seth Turner, Matt Turner, Jay Turner and Rebecca Turner; three great-grandchildren; Kimmie Colyer, Katie Colyer and Alexandria Turner. Two brothers; Herman Barnett and his wife Sara, of Texarkana, Texas, Jimmy Charles Barnett and his wife Margaret, of Mineola, Texas and other relatives and friends. Jean is preceded in death by her husband James C. Turner, two brothers; Cloyce Eugene Barnett and an infant son. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2013 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, in New Hope, Ark. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 224-8300.
