Eugene Lee

Eugene Lee, 91, of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013. He was born November 16, 1921 in Damascus, Arkansas to the late Will and Rozella Hensley Lee. Mr. Lee worked for Safeway for 35 years as a bakery Superintendent, was a charter member of North Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church and was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and loved to fish and garden and spending time with his family. He is survived by his sons, David Lee and Betty of Cabot , Mike Lee and Pat of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Michael Lee (Catrena), Patrick Lee (Shea), David Lee, Ryan Lee, Jon Lee and Jill Free (Mike); great-grandchildren, Justin and Christian Free, Evan and Megan Lee, Preston and Peyton Lee, Sam and Owen Lee. He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Jenkins Lee and two brothers, Alton and Floyd Lee. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Plumerville Cemetery.
