Connie M. McGowan

CONNIE M. MCGOWN, 64, of Little Rock, Ark., made her transition Jan. 31, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born April 23, 1948, in Gethsemane, Ark. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother: Jewel LaVern Palmer; three brothers, William (Billy) Cooksey, James Nelson Woolfolk Sr., and twin brother Ronnie Melvin (Catherine) Woolfolk Sr.; one sister, Marilyn Laverne Smith; four children, Monique (Will) Caldwell of Chicago, Ill., Stacey (Charles) Toliver, Lewis Woolfolk of Chicago, Ill., and Marcus (Brandy) Woolfolk of Mosinee, Wis..; 10 grandchildren, Tony, Marc, Cristin, Jessica, Jasmin, Jamari, Charles, Genesis, A'nya, and Amari; three great-grandchildren, Malaki, Jayden and Jorden; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Travis Nelson Woolfolk; and husband, James McGown. Through her bout with cancer, she never complained. Never. She praised God until the very end. The viewing will be Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, from 12-4 p.m., at Premier Funeral Home 1518 S. Battery, Little Rock, Ark. The wake and funeral will be Tues. Feb. 5, 2013, at 1 p.m. at New Salem M.B.
