Harold F. Dingler

Harold F. Dingler, age 83, of Kirby, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013. He was born May 6, 1929, at Kirby, the son of Fletcher Alvin Dingler and Esther Dickerson Dingler. On Jan. 27, 1957, he was married to his first wife, Carolyn Frazier Dingler, who preceded him in death on March 20, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Aaron Dingler; and his nephew, Ronnie Dingler. On June 27, 2003, he was married to Wilma Hinshaw Dingler. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Korean War; a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 295 for fifty-five years; and traveled extensively working as an electrician and welder, including seven years on Arkansas Nuclear One. He was a member of the Kirby Church of Christ and he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and welding creative art pieces. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Dingler of Kirby; one son, Kent Dingler of Little Rock; one daughter and her spouse, Mitzi Dingler and Nancy of London, Ark.; and one sister, Betty Sue (Glynn) Self of Kirby. Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, in Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with interment in the Salem Cemetery.
