Charles Howard (Chuck) Mason

Charles Howard (Chuck) Mason was born June 9, 1948 in Grady, Ark. the son of the late Bill Riley Mason and Willie Russ Mason. Mr. Mason was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tenn. He served eight years in the United States Marine Corps. He proudly retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons on his 50th birthday with 30 years of government service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and camping in his motor home. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and he never met anyone he didn't add as a friend. Mr. Mason departed this life on February 3, 2013 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, seven Months, 25 days. He is survived by wife of 42 years, Mary Shea Mason of Adamsville, Tenn.; a son, William Scott Mason of Adamsville, Tenn.; three granddaughters, Krystal Mason of Atkins, Ark., Sabra and Mallory Mason both of Harrisburg, Ark.; a brother, Bobby Mason and wife Ava Jean of Dumas, Ark.; four sisters, Dolly Osborne of Star City, Ark., Aline Case of Star City, Ark., Marnett Jacobs and husband Jake of Pine Bluff, Ark., Shirley Cessor of Montrose, Ark.; brother-in-law, Dan Shea of Leavenworth, Texas; three sister-in-laws, Gloria Shea of Colton, N.Y., Jean Mason and Eileen Mason both of Pine Bluff, Ark.; host of nieces and nephews who were more like sisters and brothers. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mason was preceded in death by six brothers, Roy Mason, George Mason, Billie Joe Mason, Jackie Mason, Jimmy Mason, Henry Mason; three sisters, Dora Everette, Catherine Everette, Norma Lee Beatty. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 5th, 2013 from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church with service starting at 6 p.m. with Bro. Tim Elrod officiating. Graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, February 7th, 2013, 1 p.m. at Flat Bayou Cemetery in Altheimer, Ark. with Tim Elrod and Sammie Alverson officiating.
