Mary Alice Wilcoxon Stone was called home to be with her Lord on February 1, 2013 in Tyler, Texas. Mary was born on January 17, 1916, in Ashley County Arkansas to John Wiley Wilcoxon and Mattie Allen Wilcoxon. She grew up in Ashley County and spent most of her life in Arkansas. She was devoted to her family and will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary married the love of her earthly life, Charles Henry Stone, on January 27, 1934, at the Baptist Minister's home in Hamburg, Arkansas. The marriage was blessed and happy, lasting almost 50 years until Henry's death in 1983.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, her husband, brothers Edward Allen, John Henry Allen, sisters Verlie Allen, Velma Allen, Helen Patrick, Nancy Harp, and Elizabeth Carpenter, by brothers James, Searcy, Dean, Frank, George, Andrew Wilcoxon, and by sisters Bessie and Pearl Wilcoxon. She is survived by her two sons: Charles Glenn Stone, his wife Judy, and John Edward Stone, his wife Connie. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Dr. Charles G Stone, Jr, his wife Maureen, Dr. Brian H Stone, his wife Barbra, Erin Means, her husband Eric, and Joanna Stone, and seven great grandchildren. n addition, there are many nieces and nephews.

There were special ladies in Mary's life—Pearlie Mae of Pine Bluff, Rosemary Betts, Wynell Glover, Henrieta, Annie, and Betty of Tyler, and her landscape caretaker, John Lunsford. She loved each of them very much.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 8th from 7 to 9 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman funeral home in Monticello, Arkansas. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 9th, at the funeral home chapel with internment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. The family invites everyone to a lunch reception afterword at a place to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mary's memory to Southside Baptist Church, 2309 South Poplar, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603, or to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Texas 75701.
