Robert Gordon Bengston

Robert Gordon Bengston, age 80, of Morrilton, passed away, Tuesday, February 5, 2013. He was born June 20, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Harold and Agnes Duncan Bengston. He was a Navy Veteran and the husband of Lorraine Teufert Bengston, they were married August 13, 1955. Robert and Lorraine moved to Morrilton in 1966, so he could be an electrical engineer for Arkansas Kraft. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, and a member of the Institute Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Survivors include his wife Lorraine Teufert Bengston; daughter, Lora Lee Bengston of Pine Bluff; two sons, Tim Bengston and wife Cheryl of Morrilton, Brian Bengston and wife Bobbie of Greenbrier; sister, Sonja Bengston of Memphis, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Ryan Bengston and wife Erin, Katelyn Noland and husband Zac, Andrew Bengston, Josh Bengston, and Kelsey Bengston; great-grandson, Gage Bengston; and two step-great-grandchildren, Davlin and Shaun Morris.
Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church in Morrilton with Pastor John Gierke and Pastor Frank LeBlanc officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home, 2405 E. Parkway Dr, STE #3, Russellville, Arkansas 72802, or Conway County Care Center, 108 W. Broadway St., Morrilton, Arkansas 72110. Honorary Pallbearers will be First Presbyterian Men's Breakfast Group, Green Bay Packaging Retired Electricians, Mike Rapp and Ken Coyle.
