Katherine Elizabeth Zell

Katherine Elizabeth Zell (Betty), 89, moved on to Glory as her immediate family celebrated her life in a private love gathering this past weekend. Born on May 8, 1923 in Pittsburgh, Pa., Betty moved to California where she met the love of her life, Al Zell, and married for 46 wonderful years. Betty and Al moved to Arkansas in 1998 to enjoy their retirement close to their daughter Kathleen, husband John and grandchildren, Jonathan and Paige. Her life's work consisted of her unconditional love and focus on her children, Kathleen Braune, Charlene White, Rheeta Zell, Mark Zell and Kenneth Mann. Many of her most precious joys came from watching and listening to her grandchildren growing up including time with Jonathan and Paige Braune, Jessica Risdon, Cody Zell, Angela Bartholomew and others across the country. Betty is preceded by the death of her two sisters who will be celebrating a reunion in heaven as they are joined together again around His table forever. The family wanted to share a thought sent to us for all those who have lost a loved one recently as we found this comforting: Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed, and very dear!
