Marguerite Walderns, 88, of Woodson, Ark., widow of Charles J. Walderns Sr., passed away peacefully on Feb. 9, 2013. Born in Hamburg, Miss. on May 28, 1924, Marguerite was a Christian, a loving wife and homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed quilting and was a Lifetime Member of the Saline County Quilters Guild. Marguerite was preceded in death her parents, her husband of 62 years, Charles J. Walderns Sr., a daughter, Annette Burris; brothers Louis, David and Tommy Farr and sister Vera Farr Walderns. Marguerite is survived by six children, Joan Walderns Pustelnik (Roger), Kathy Walderns Stivers, Nina Walderns Linn (Robin), Charles J. Walderns Jr., Ronnie Walderns (Judy), and Ken Walderns (Deanna); sister Lila Varner (Jack, Sr.) of Tallulah, La.; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; and Louise Farr of Roxie, Miss. who was like a sister to Marguerite most of her lifetime and sisters-in-law, Jean Walderns and Adele Walderns. Visitation will be Tuesday Feb. 12 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Woodson Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at the church with Brother Mike Cryer officiating. Interment will follow at Woodson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, Ark. 72202.
