Nannie Dyer, 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, in Lafayette, La., surrounded by her family. Mrs. Dyer was a resident of Clarendon, Ark. and moved to Lafayette recently to live with her daughter. She was a vibrant, social woman, who loved spending time with her family and friends and putting puzzles together. In her 95 years, she experienced joy, sorrow, love, tragedy, poverty and the wealth found in family and friends. Through it all she taught us about finding inner strength, courage, love and especially living a joyful life, no matter the circumstances. Nannie Dyer will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Rogers Young and her husband Hubert; six grandchildren, Diann Hebert and her husband Russell, Leslie Franks, Lea Ann Remondet and her husband Michael, Shannon Burkhardt and her husband Michael, Sharron Spillers and her husband Jeff and Shantel Cannon and her husband Clint; 13 great-grandchildren, Tara, Heidi and Shelly Franks, Breanne Tirrito, Laura Hebert, Anna Marie, Michael James and Matthew Remondet, Hunter Burkhardt, Hailey and Logan Spillers, Caroline and Lilly Cannon; five great-great-grandchildren, Jackson, Katherine and Jonathan Tirrito, Kennedy Jane and Violet LeBoeuf; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Leslie Rogers; second husband, Alvin Dyer; parents, Walter and Alice Anderson Boals; son, William Arthur Rogers; three sisters, Opal Harrod, Ethel Helms and Helen McVey; and three brothers, Fred Hill, Carl Boals and Hayward Boals. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 in Bob Neal Funeral Home, 292 Madison St., Clarendon, Ark. 72029 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery in Holly Grove, Ark. Pallbearers will be Michael James Remondet Jr., Michael Burkhardt, Jeff Spillers, Gary Gerlach, Jerry Ray Harrod and Randy Everett.
