MRS. REBA (COOK) GLOVER, 95, peacefully left this life when the Lord came for her on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013. Her family is at peace that she is now at rest in the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ. She was born Nov. 13, 1917, to Willie Lee and Maggie (Coffey) Cook of Mt. Vernon, Ark. On Jan. 5, 1938, Reba married the love of her life, Carlos C. Glover of Lonoke County. Besides her husband and parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, Jessie L. Cook and Leslie Cook, and three sisters, Mae Nolan, Nell Cook, and Lavelle Hutchison. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Glover Hirby (Oscar), Connie Glover Breeding (Bobby), and four grandchildren, Robyn (Todd) Smith, April (John) McMorran, Blake (Ali) Breeding, Chris (Jennifer) Breeding, and 11 great-grandchildren, Leslie, Maggie, Sarah, Katherine, Mary, Anna, Lucas, Rebekah, Chase, Stella and Joshua. She is also survived by one sister, Ardell Glover, and one brother, W. Joe Cook, a host of nieces and nephews, and a magnitude of dear friends. She was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, where she enjoyed worship with her family and friends for as long as she was able to attend. She was a retired food service manager in the Little Rock School District, but her most treasured calling was being a devoted daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, aunt and friend. Everyone that knew her was blessed by her kindness and her signature smile. She was a longtime resident at Good Shepherd (Robert's Building) on Aldersgate Road. She loved her friends and the devoted staff there. Our family thanks everyone that was always there for her, and helped make her latter years pleasant, including her physicians that never one time overlooked her physical needs. And, we thank the staff at Hospice-Bowman, for their tender care in her final days. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, Little Rock. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Burial will be at Glover Cemetery, Lonoke, Ark. Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law, Oscar Hirby, Bobby Breeding, and her grandsons, Blake Breeding, Chris Breeding, Todd Smith and John McMorran. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home a Smith Family Funeral Home. Online obituary and guest registry at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
