Billie Jean Pack Hogins, 83, of Conway, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Salem Place Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility in Conway. The daughter of George Pack and Gertha Hill Pack Bartlett, she was born September 14, 1929 in Seminole, Okla. She was a 1946 graduate of Dover High School and was a small business owner. She and G.W. Hogins were married on February 22, 1948 in Dover, Arkansas. Billie was an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society, having served at one time as Director of the Pulaski County Cancer Society and she had served on the National Board. She also started a cancer society chapter in Greenwood, Miss. She was a member of the Greenwood Chapter of Junior Auxiliary and Greenwood Garden Club. She was passionate about gardening. She was a member of the Park Hill Christian Church in North Little Rock where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Garland Bartlett; her husband G.W. Hogins and a brother, Gerald Pack. She is survived by three daughters, Saundra Brooks, Little Rock, Donna Brooks (Garold), Littleton, Colo., Polly Walker (Jim), Conway; seven grandchildren, Kevin Brooks (Spring), Baton Rouge, La., and their children, Olivia and Patrick, Stephanie Corliss (Scott), Austin, Texas and their children, Avery Jean, Calliegh Ann and Gregg Wesley, Aaron Brooks, Scottsdale, Ariz., Katie Stuvel (Andrew), Littleton, Colo., Amanda Brooks, Littleton, Colo., Nathan Ragan his daughter, Paityn, Blake Ragan (Ashley), Conway and daughter, Mckenzie, Conway; a sister, Brenda McKenzie (Tom), Eufaula, Okla. Billie Jean also had many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and two bothers-in-law, Reese Hogins and James Burl Hogins (Flora Ann), and sister-in-law, Louetta Hogins. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville. Rev. Miles Cook will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6 pm to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
