Russell Hoover

He fought a valiant battle that he just could not win. Russell Hoover, 65, of Bryant lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully on February 16, 2013. He was born may 21, 1947 in Falmouth, Kentucky to the late Leonard and Nancy Hoover. Russell was an Army veteran and served during the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Letha Hoover, four sons and their families, Lee and Farah Culpepper (grandson Hunter and granddaughter, Cali), Russell Hoover Jr. (granddaughter Georgia), Clint and Stacy Hoover (grandsons Brandon and Dillon), and Brant Hoover (granddaughters Lili and Amelia). Russell is also survived by three brothers, Bobby, Tommy and Joe, and five sisters, Anna, Ruby, Jennie, Phyllis, and Barbara and their families. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law and their spouses, Charla and Pat Golding and Vanessa and John Hill and a brother-in-law and his spouse Forrest and Elaine Dawson and a host of nieces, nephews and extended families. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Brad P. Baltz and his staff for their loving and affectionate care they provided SPARKY during his illness. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 at Ashby Funeral Home. Visitation will be after the memorial services.
