Frances L. Reeves, 84, of Beebe, was born Jan. 14, 1929, to Leck C. and Veda Cameron Keathley. She went to be with the Lord Feb. 23, 2013. Frances worked for the U.S. Postal System for 28 years seven months and one day. Always active in her church and community, she served as president of the Woman's Society of Christian Service, a board member of the Cabot Recreation Corporation, PTA president of Cabot Public Schools from 1959–1960, was awarded the Cabot Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year in 1963 and also received the Cabot Town and Country Garden Club Award. Her greatest love was her Lord and her family. With a servant's heart and her love of cooking, she joyfully fed family, co-workers, and friends on any and all occasions. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, W.E. Reeves Jr., and parents. She is survived by her son, Gary (Rita) Reeves of Austin; grandson, Clay Reeves of Austin and granddaughter, Casey (Jason) Daily of Portsmouth, Va.; three grandchildren, Hunter Elliott, Parker Leigh, and Ellie Paige Daily; two brothers, L.C. (Jerrye) Keathley Jr., of Conway and Clint (Anita) Keathley of Cabot; sister in law, Betty Horness of Ward; three nieces, Karen (Sean) Cook of Vilonia, Leisa Horness and Lori (Pete) Lombardi both of Ward; two nephews, Scott (Beverly) Keathley of Cabot and Jack (Sharon) Keathley of Fairfield Bay and many great nieces and nephews. Thanks to Southridge Assisted Living, Cabot Manor, 3 West and 2 North Hospice Home Care of White County Medical Center for the care she received during the last two months. A special thanks to her good friend, Dr. Dewey McAfee and his staff for meeting all her needs these years. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Koman for the Cure, attention: Donor Services, P.O. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Cabot United Methodist Church, 2003 South Pine Street, with burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
