Angie "Nadine" Renfrow, 86, left us Tuesday, February 26, 2013. She was born January 5, 1927 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to John Ayers Dilley and Mary Harvey Dilley, who preceded her in death, along with her husband, James I. Renfrow, her son, James R. Renfrow and her sister, Ruth Dilley Bunting. Nadine was a Girl Scout leader, a homeroom mother for many years, and worked for Kelly Girls. She was active in the Methodist churches everywhere she lived, Oklahoma City, Fort Smith, Muskogee and Little Rock. As a child, she played the violin for hymns while her father acted as a missionary to an Oklahoma Indian Reservation. Her family remaining are daughter, Jan Briggs and husband, Thomas; grandchildren, Jimmy Renfrow and wife, Chantal, Keith Briggs and wife, Angela, Jason Renfrow and wife, Shawnn, and Gesula Briggs; great-grandchildren, McKenna Renfrow, Haliee and Hannah Briggs, Cayden, Cameron and Raegan Renfrow, Meghan and Holden Kelly; and several nieces and nephews. Upon Jim's illness, Nadine was lucky to find great care in Emeritus Respite, Jim and Nadine were reunited at Valley Ranch Nursing and Rehab, where they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, and where they received attentive care. The staff of Arkansas Hospice were comforting to Nadine and her family. Thanks to all who helped. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 1 at 1 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Betsy Singleton Snyder.
