N. JONNELL MITCHELL passed away Sunday, Dec. 30. She was born Sept. 12, 1927 in Beebe, Ark. to the late John G. Friedrich and Myrtle Hardin Friedrich. Her husband, Charles Dean Mitchell, parents, and three sisters preceded Jonnell in death. She is survived by her son, Dr. Bruce Mitchell of Hot Springs; her daughter, Deana Eggleston and husband Roy of Maumelle; grandchildren, Melissa Butler (Jason), Mitchell Keathley (Brooke), Jessica Waggoner (Jerod); great-grandchildren, Lane Butler, Cash Keathley, Annabelle Butler, Gibson Waggoner, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was very dedicated to her faith, family and friends. Jonnell saw the best in everyone she met. She loved her gardening and crossword puzzles. Teaching Sunday School at Immanuel Baptist Church was a favorite as well as following the Razorbacks, Cowboys, and any team Derek Fisher played for. Mrs. Mitchell was retired from the Little Rock School District. She was former president of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association and the Baptist Hospital Auxiliary where she continued to serve in many capacities. She loved to volunteer by sharing her time and talents with many other organizations. Family visitation will be at 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Funeral services follow at 2 p.m. at Immanuel with entombment at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark. Arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark., (501)224-8300. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 501 N.
