Betty Jean Rowland, 69, of Bryant went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 31. She was born on July 14, 1943 to the late Herman Oscar and Jewell Golden. She attended Dermott schools, Southwest Junior High and Central High School. She was secretary and treasurer of Dusty Mop & Mat for 40 years. She is a member of East End Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bobby Earl Golden, Larry Allen Golden, and Olen Ray Golden. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Lee Rowland; children, Richard Lee Rowland, Robbie Rowland Sullivan and husband Bart Sullivan; grandchildren, Olivia Hiser, Emily Sullivan and Ashley Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Trevor Wade Belote, Haylee Lynn Hill, Piper Jean Hiser and Emma FaithYoung; brother, Donald Wayne Golden; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Betty was a loving devoted wife and mother. She set the standard for wonderful Grandmothers. She lived for her family including brothers, nieces, nephews and friends. She was a caretaker and always put others before herself. She loved giving and doing for others. She is already missed so much. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 (501) 455-5800 with Reverend Bob Minick and Reverend Sam Bates officiating. Pallbearers will be: Mickey Reese, Dennis Metheny, James Harris, Gene Young, Jason Young and Jeff Hill. Interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
