Ted Shelton

Lt. Colonel (Ret.) Ted Shelton of Sheridan, Ark, died in a traffic accident on December 20th, 2012. Proudly serving 25 years in the US Air Force, Ted served in the Gulf War and the War on Terrorism with multiple tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. While serving his country, Ted also raised five children and earned two masters degrees and a PhD in Education Leadership. Ted is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laurie and children:  Brad, Kathy, Greg & Mercedes, Beth and Destiny; his mother, Shirley Shelton and siblings: Shari Foard, Karen Smith, and Kenneth Shelton. He is proceeded in death by his grandfather, Abe Shelton, father Felix Theodore Shelton, and son Daniel Shelton. Private services with full military honor guard were held on December 24th in Pine Union, Mo.
