Calvert J. Hudgens Jr.

Calvert J. Hudgens Jr., 89, began his eternal life with his Heavenly Father on January 4, 2013. A funeral mass will be said on Tuesday, January 8 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Olive Branch at 11 a.m., with visitation at 10 a.m. Rosary at 10:45 a.m. also at the church. Calvert was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. Calvert was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He spent his life serving his family and his God. His strength, his loving kindness, his sense of humor and his strong faith in his Eternal Redeemer are the traits that will be missed the most. He was an active and committed charter member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Aggie Hudgens, and his daughter, Carol Ann Hudgens. Calvert is survived by two daughters, Sharon Loeb (Bob) and Janiss Graves (Guy); two sons, Calvert Hudgens III (Susan) and Greg Hudgens (Connie); nine grandchildren; four great-granddaughters.
