Nora J. Price, 102, of Ashdown, Ark., passed away on January 7, 2013 in Pleasant Manor Nursing Home. She was born on September 6, 1910 in Ben Lomond, Ark. to Mr. & Mrs. W.H. Johnson. Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Price; one son, Robert S. Price, Jr.; her parents; three brothers, Raymond, Eddie, and Finos Johnson; three sisters, Virgie Buster, and Mildred Wright, and Annie Jean Hedgecock. She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Barbara Price of McLean, VA; one sister, Ernestine Whala of Ashdown, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Flo Johnson of Ashdown, Ark.; one brother-in-law. Ray Hedgecock of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren, Vicki (Rob) De Lisa and Bryan Price, both of Arvada, Colo.; and Robert Price of Boerne, Texas; two geat grandchildren, Valerie and Chris De Lisa of Arvada, Colo.; three special nieces, Jeanie Raper, Eddie Ann Fawcett, and Becky Gunter, all of Ashdown, Ark. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews. Nora worked for 30 years for Bell Cook, CPA in El Dorado, Ark. The Cooks, Bill, June, Nancy, and Billy were like a second family to her. They attended all Razorback games together- she was an avid fan. Nora moved back to Ashdown in 1980 where she was active in her church, First United Methodist Church, and in the Senior Citizens Center until she was 97 years old. Services will be held in Madden Funeral Home Chapel on January 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Jim Cross officiating. Burial will be in the Ashdown Cemetery in Ashdown, Ark.
