Paul Rytima

Paul Rytima, 92, of Beach Park, lll., died on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, Ill. He was born August 26, 1920 in Champion, MI and moved to this area in 1946. Paul worked for 23 years with Meadow Gold Dairy of Waukegan and was a member of Teamsters Local#301 for 28 years. After retiring from Meadow Gold he became a custodian at Zion-Benton Township High School. Paul was a Veteran of World War II having served with the Army Air Corp (later the Air Force). Paul was an avid Chicago White Sox fan, enjoyed reading, liked watching T.V. news, and his greatest love was spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Gladys; children Linda (Edwin) Johnson of Warren, lll., Jane (Jim) Neal of Winthrop Harbor, lll., Paula Bourland of Winthrop Harbor, lll., Clinton (Diane) Rytima of Garland, Texas, Eric (Brenda) Rytima of Benton, Ark., and Roger (Arlyn) Rytima of Winthrop Harbor, lll.; seven grandchildren Kelly (John) Neal-Wilker, Aaron (Kim) Neal, Trina (Jimmy) Constas, Tahnee (Matt) Lathrop, Michal Rytima, Paul Rytima, and Tyler Rytima; and seven great-grandchildren Rowyn, Bryn, Ella, Vasili, Mylos, Lane, and Auborn. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law Donald and Vera Rytima; and his parents Leonard and Elina Rytima. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 4 p.m., at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, lll. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
