R. L. Fountain, 81, of Conway died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Conway Regional Medical Center. Mr. Fountain was a retired trailer mechanic for Overnite Transportation and a member of Teamster Union Local 667 and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O.B. and Louella Durham Fountain, a granddaughter, Lori Fountain two great-grandsons, Patrick and Spencer Hobby, two sisters, and one brother. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Hazel Meeks Fountain of Conway, Ark.; three daughters, Becky Hindman of Conway, Ark.; Wanda Hindman (Buddy) of Vilonia, Ark.; Melinda Bettis (Tommy) of Marion, Ark.; two sons, Robert Fountain (Sherry) of Proctor, Ark.; Buck Meeks (Suni) of Conway, Ark.; a special grandson that he raised Cody Meeks, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a sister, Martha Putnam of Florence, Ala.: two brothers, Bobby Fountain ( Linda) of Tuscumbia, Ala.; Jerry Fountain ( Vicky) of Florence, Ala. and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday January 11, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis with services on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home with burial in Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, Ark. On-line guestbook at
