Nora Lavone Cook

Nora Lavone Cook, age 81, of Benton, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013. She was born May 27, 1931, in Star City, Ark. Mrs. Cook was a homemaker and a member of West Bauxite Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Pauline Wimberly; husband, John H. Cook and three brothers, Wesley, Harold and Walter Wimberly. She is survived by her son, Mike Cook and wife Cheryl of Benton; daughter, Patti Seals and husband Bobby of Benton; two sisters, Louise Burton of Benton and Bobbie Atherley of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Jason Seals, Holli Lincoln and husband Craig, Brad Cook and wife Tracy and Brent Cook and wife Kristal; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery. Bro.
