Lance Corporal Joseph " Joey" Ray Gaddy of Sheridan, Arkansas was born on April 6th 1990 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Joey was blessed with several sets of parents, Tony & Tonya Puckett, Tony & Carol Fielding and Randy and the Late Leigh Ann Gaddy. Joey graduated from Poyen High School in 2008 and joined the United States Marine Corps in April of 2009. He served in Afganistan from September 2010 to April 2011 receiving numerous awards including the Non Article 5 NATO medal, Meritorious Mast, several Certificates of Commendation, and several other combat related awards. Among his many interest were hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and being with his friends and family. Joey was proceeded in death by mother, Leigh Ann Gaddy; great-grandfather, Preston Plunkett; great-grandfather, Clarence Fielding; grandfather, Anthony Fielding; great-grandmother, Myrtis Plunkett; grandmother, Rosie Williams; cousins, Valarie Munn and Micheal McKinnon; grandfather, W.Q. Benton, and grandfather, Bill Ward. Survivors include parents, Tony & Tonya Puckett of Sheridan, Tony & Carol Fielding of Grapevine, and Randy and Alisa Gaddy of Sheridan; brother, Anthony Gaddy & wife Ericka of Grapevine; sister Holly Carter and husband Daniel of Prattsville; half-bothers, Ronnie & Randy Jr. of Sheridan; nephews & nieces, Sam, Cammie, Jacob and Jaxson; uncle and aunt, Keith and Sharon Cooper; maternal grandmother, Betty Ward and special friend, K.O. Bell of Sheridan; paternal grandparents, Joe & Kathy Gaddy of Pine Bluff, Great- Grandmother Marie Benton of Grapevine, best friend Colby Blackstock of East End, Love of his life Megan Gaddy, and his very special friend, Michelle Valentine and son, Donovan, and his loyal dog Rambo, as well as a host of many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Micah McKinley and Bro. Jon Cox officiating. Burial will be in Ain Cemetery near Grapevine.
