Joye Fae (Ray) Witcher, age 84, of Cabot, passed away January 13, 2013 at her home. She was born September 13, 1928 in Cabot, Arkansas to the late Joe Dan Ray Sr. and Mary Magdalena Cook Ray. Also preceded in death by three sons, John Richard Witcher Jr., Larry Wayne Witcher, Doyle L. Witcher and two sisters and seven brothers. Survived by her husband, J.R. Witcher of the home, daughter, Carolyn Faye Storey of Sacremento California, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Joye lived in West Memphis from 1953 to 1983 when she and J.R. retired to Cabot, their "home". She was a nurse at Crittenden Memorial Hospital for 26 years in the New-born Nursery. She showed loved and concern to everyone she knew. She gave to so many whose lives were forever changed by her influence. She was so loved by her family and friends who will miss her more than words can say. Visitation will be Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
