Emogene "Emma" Sappington

EMOGENE "EMMA" SAPPINGTON, of North Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013. She was born Sept. 4, 1926, to the late Thad and Margie Dennis. Emma was preceded in death by her parents and also her husband Earl Sappington Jr. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth "Buck" Matthews (Ginny) and Dennis Sappington (Ginger) of North Little Rock; two daughters; Carla Stewart (Don) of North Little Rock and Virginia Taylor (Raymond) of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Melissa Kitta (Jon), Kristi Stewart, Jason Matthews (Catherine), Thad Sappington (Courtney) and Brandon Taylor (Michelle); eight great grandchildren; Nash Scroggins, Elizabeth and Lindsey Sappington, Emma Taylor, Noah and Silas Matthews, Taylor Kyzer, and Carson Clark; and special cousin Geraldine Day of North Little Rock. Emma was a member of Graves Memorial Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. There will be a graveside service held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Edgewood Memorial Park, North Little Rock. Rev. Travis Matthews and Rev. James Thomason will be officiating.
