James (Jimmy) White

JAMES (JIMMY) WHITE, 89, of Little Rock, passed on Jan. 15, 2013, when the angels of mercy called home one of his angels to be with his wife of 66 years, Rosie Lee Davis who preceded him in death on Jan. 14, 2013. Mr. White was with the Pulaski County Sheriff Department for over 50 years. He was a member of Coleman Chapel AME Zion Church where he was a trustee and served in numerous offices. He will be missed by many and loved by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant White Sr. and Anner Hester White along with daughter, Cherise Jones. He's survived by his children, Linda Fay Williams, James White Jr., Jason White, Tulisa White, Terry Gould and Reginald Jones; two sisters, Eveyln Johnson and Ora Donaldson; god daughter, Patsy Gatlin; 22 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, 11 a.m., at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, 1700 South State St. Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. State St. LR (501) 372-1305.
