Rosie Lee Davis White

ROSIE LEE DAVIS WHITE, 93, of Little Rock, Ark. was surrounded by family and the angels of Heaven called her home on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. She was the wife of James (Jimmy) White for 66 years. A lifetime member of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and Deaconess Board. She was a devoted wife and neighbor and always had a kind word and love in her heart for everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Davis and Alice Vance Davis; eight brothers and sisters. She's survived by three special God-daughters, Patsy Gatlin, Sue Lanier and Dorthy Tate all of Little Rock, Ark.; stepchildren, Linda Fay Williams, James White Jr., Jason White, Tulisa White, Terry Gould, Reginald Jones; 22 stepgrandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A celebration of her life will be Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, 11 a.m., at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, 1700 South State St. Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. State St. LR (501) 372-1305.
