LILLIAN L. WOODARD, 93, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on Jan. 19, 2013. Born Aug. 29, 1919, to Claude and Nona Lawrence in Franklin County, Texas. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Second Baptist Church. Through her gentle demeanor she expressed her love for her family and friends. Lillian is another loss in the declining echelon of the faithful, unselfish contributors from the greatest generation. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, J.C. Woodard and two sisters and brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Albert and her husband Jim of Little Rock; a son, Paul of Tallahassee, Fla.; four grandchildren, Mark Albert, Tracie Albert Sugg and her husband Bryan of Little Rock and Adrianne and Libby Woodard of Tallahassee; two great-grandchildren, Devin and Bryce Sugg; a sister, Christine Hudson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her caretakers at Valley Ranch Nursing Home and previously at Fox Ridge Senior Care, Little Rock. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at 11 a.m., at the Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, (501) 224-8300, with services immediately following at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel, with Reverend James Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Alexander.
