Dr. Walter G. "Buddy" Klugh Jr. passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at St. Josephs Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Walter G. Klugh, Sr., step-mother Dorothy Klugh, his mother Nell Reynolds Klugh and his sister Eleanor Klugh Jackson. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 51 years Marie Louise Klugh and his children, Carole Klugh Shannon (Jeff) of Fayetteville and E.G. "Bubba" Klugh (Sherrie) of Little Rock, grandchildren Rebecca Shannon Webb (Ryan) of Maumelle, Rachel Shannon Foshe (Tony) of Fayetteville, Kendall and Kameron Klugh of Little Rock, three great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He served in the Navy from 1943-1946. He practiced anesthesiology for 33 years at St. Josephs in Hot Springs. During his career, he served as Chief of Staff where he established St. Josephs first recovery room, first ICU, 1st respiratory care department, and first cardiovascular program. His love of conservation led him to a lifelong involvement in Ducks Unlimited. He served served as a board member in American DU as well as Canada and Mexico for ten plus years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, golf, flying airplanes, and especially playing gin rummy. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Gross Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday, January 26 at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 12:30 p.m. Graveside services 3pm Crestview Cemetery. Guest register at www.grossfuneralhome.com.
